Common Questions

How long does a DOT inspection take?

Most inspections take 1–2 hours depending on the vehicle type and condition. If we find issues that need repair, we'll give you a time estimate for the additional work.

How often do I need a DOT inspection?

Federal law requires an annual inspection for all commercial motor vehicles. Your inspection sticker is valid for 12 months from the date of inspection. Some states may have additional requirements.

What happens if my truck fails?

If your vehicle fails inspection, we'll provide a detailed report of exactly what needs to be repaired. We can fix most issues right here in our shop — often the same day. Once repairs are made, we'll re-inspect at no additional inspection charge.

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended to minimize your wait time. Fleet clients get priority scheduling. Call (708) 907-9770 to schedule.

Do you offer fleet DOT inspection programs?

Yes. We offer volume pricing for fleet accounts and can schedule your entire fleet's inspections to keep you organized and compliant. We'll track expiration dates and remind you when trucks are due. Learn about our fleet programs.

What should I bring to my inspection?

Bring the vehicle, your registration, and ensure the truck has the required safety equipment (fire extinguisher, warning triangles, spare fuses). The vehicle should be reasonably clean so we can properly inspect all components.
