Annual Inspections Done Right — Honest, Thorough, No Surprises
I-57 Exit 340 • 5501 Adams St, Unit K • Matteson, IL 60443
Every commercial vehicle operating on public roads needs a valid annual DOT inspection. We do it right — thorough, honest, and with no unnecessary upselling. If it passes, you get your sticker. If it doesn't, we tell you exactly what needs to be fixed.
Our DOT annual inspection covers all FMCSA-required components. Here's what we check:
Service brakes, parking brake, brake drums/rotors, brake hoses, slack adjusters, air compressor, and brake adjustment.
Steering wheel, steering column, steering gear, pitman arm, power steering, and all steering linkage components.
Headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, marker lights, clearance lights, and reflectors.
Tire tread depth, tire condition, tire inflation, wheel fasteners, rims, and hub condition.
Windshield condition, wipers, washer fluid, defrosters, and window glazing integrity.
Fifth wheel, pintle hooks, drawbar, safety chains, glad hands, and trailer coupling components.
Frame rails, cross members, body panels, mud flaps, bumpers, and overall structural integrity.
Fire extinguisher, warning triangles, spare fuses, seat belts, and all required safety equipment.
We perform annual DOT inspections on all types of commercial motor vehicles.
Class 7 and Class 8 tractors — all makes and models. Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, International, Mack.
Dry vans, flatbeds, reefers, tankers, and specialty trailers. We inspect all trailer types.
Box trucks, stake trucks, flatbed trucks, and other single-unit commercial vehicles.
Commercial buses and passenger-carrying vehicles requiring annual FMCSA inspection.
Most inspections take 1–2 hours depending on the vehicle type and condition. If we find issues that need repair, we'll give you a time estimate for the additional work.
Federal law requires an annual inspection for all commercial motor vehicles. Your inspection sticker is valid for 12 months from the date of inspection. Some states may have additional requirements.
If your vehicle fails inspection, we'll provide a detailed report of exactly what needs to be repaired. We can fix most issues right here in our shop — often the same day. Once repairs are made, we'll re-inspect at no additional inspection charge.
